Oak Hills Little Highlanders Cheerleading, Inc. (OHLHC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving children in the Oak Hills Local School District. The goal of OHLHC is to provide area youth an opportunity to participate in and learn organized sideline and competition cheerleading skills in such a way as to: develop the fundamentals of sideline cheerleading; introduce the team concept to participating children, coaches and parents; promote team spirit to our Football Organization; and act as a feeder system to the local middle schools and high school.
We cheer for Oak Hills Little Highlanders football, an organization that was founded in 1973. In 1981, Sherri Barnes organized our cheerleading program, which at the time included 12 girls. Since then, the two organizations have continued to grow to serve more than 300 youth in the area each year. We have been a part of the Oak Hills community for the last 36 years and have served thousands of area youth! The last 10 years has seen significant positive change for Little Highlanders Cheerleading, and we have built what we consider to be a successful program. We have a positive reputation with other youth cheerleading organizations in the area and our expertise is frequently sought.
We offer cheerleading to athletes in grades K-6. We offer a fun and rewarding experience that not only teaches your athlete the skills of cheerleading but prepares them for the higher levels of cheer here in Oak Hills (OHMS and OHHS). OHLHC offers two programs: sideline cheerleading (open to grades K-6) and competition cheerleading (open to grades 1-6).
